James Schwann and Oscar Kasch
James Schwann is a Co-Editor in Chief of the Arrowhead in the 2018-2019 school year. James enjoys political writing in journalism and often spends his time in the newsroom playing devil’s advocate to different journalists’ angles. James controls the social media of the Arrowhead and has been an integral part in the newsroom’s marketing. Outside of school, James plays tennis, an activity he compares to deflecting rockets.
Oscar Kasch is a Co-Editor in Chief of the Arrowhead in the 2018-2019 school year. Oscar enjoys a variety of activities and has taken his role as a leader both in Arrowhead and out seriously. This year, Oscar has taken up an internship in the English Department at OHHS and plans on creating a writing lab. Oscar has always enjoyed exploring controversial topics as well as critiquing albums: specifically, rap. He plans on taking Arrowhead to new heights for this school year, and when, sadly, he leaves for college he wants to continue writing for a paper if possible.
Bella Iorio and Caroline Koury
Bella Iorio is the current Co-Associate Editor of Arrowhead and is also a page editor. Bella does a variety of things around the school including Challenge Crew, Lunch Bunch, and Volunteer Focus. She also enjoys playing for the Girls’ Varsity Soccer Team as well.
Caroline Koury is currently the Co-Associate Editor for the Arrowhead Newspaper. In addition, she is the varsity cheerleading captain for football and basketball. During her past year as a member of the Arrowhead staff, she has loved writing about events related to the school and the Ottawa Hills community.
Lauren Rownd is the Design Editor of the Arrowhead! Lauren participates in a variety of activities in school including student council, OHBreathe, tennis team, choraliers and theater! Lauren loves to write about current events and school happenings. Some of her favorite topics to cover are tennis, school controversies and accomplishments in the arts. In addition to writing the paper, Lauren is responsible for the design of the Arrowhead.
Chief Technology Officer
Samantha Fischer spent her first year on Arrowhead as a staff reporter and page 6 editor. As the first Chief Technology Officer in Arrowhead’s history, she is managed the media organization’s foray into more modern media, such as the new website and social media, and digitizing past copies of the paper. Samantha is the varsity field hockey captain and also plays varsity field hockey for the school. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
